What drench wormer do y'all use?
I use Safeguard blocks and Ivomec pour on so I want to use something different in a drench.

It's good stuff. I buy it at fuller supply. Service at Jeffers is spotty . Sometimes the girls get what you want other times they are slow as molasses.

I use Synanthic. I’ve seen good results from it.

Any of the drenches works well but it's the wrong time of year for them unless you have fresh pasture you can move them into. The downside to a drench is that there is no residual.

LongRange will get you 150 days residual.
Hard to figure in all factors, but calves were heavier.

Long range makes sense for calves but it scares me on cows. The last thirty days of that residual has to be reproducing resistant worm loads.

I figure most of them are to a degree and rotation is essential.
Is it worse? I sure dont know.

Valbazen is what I like for a drench.
We have used longrange for the last three years. We will use something different this year. I really like the long range in the calves every year, it seems to help em. Or I feel like it’s worth the cost anyway. But I also believe with a good mineral program that a topical pour on if very efficient also. IMO, cattle all across the US suffer from a sorry mineral program. The red mineral block from the co-op here in Alabama is about useless as it gets. Just my thoughts.

Seemed like we got a return on investment with it as well.
But it's been mentioned in the past that it probably has a negative effect on dung beetles and thus manure breakdown.
Probably something to keep in mind also.
It's another option to rotate through anyway.
