I bought the Predator 3500 to use to power tools while I built my cabin at the farm. I've had it about 6 months, it was very quiet, fuel efficient, and started every time until two weeks ago when it blew up. Ain't had a chance to take it back yet, I guess we'll see how much I like HF when I take it back to them. Gotta change the oil and make sure dw is not around.

Changed the oil 3 times in 6 months, started it up one morning, purred like a kitten for 10 minutes, then it started buckin' and fartin' and then something sure enough broke.

Did you clean the sparkarrester ? Alot of folks just remove it. I would zio tie it to unit to replace if you have a warranty claim

I Just picked up a 1" gas water pump there yesterday. Used it twice so far with very good results. Hoping for a solid 2 years out of it at least. Only $169 on sale. I've got the 1", two 2" harbor freight trash pumps and they are as good as any I've used. And we use them alot. The handtools are good enough. Do not get any grinder wheels, saw blades, or drill bits from harbor freight.

Get 10 for about 5 bucks .they last as long as the DeWalt that are 2.99 each. But I ain't cutting radio active oil pipe either.

I like a lot of their stuff and will say that the Bauer is as good a drill and other options as I ever used. I go the hedge trimmers to prune christmas trees and it is impressive over corded tools.

Been probably 10-11 years ago I bought a HF compound mitre saw and a HF 16" metal cutting chop saw. They were both so sorry I gave them away within 3 months and bought used tools to replace them with. The mitre saw wouldn't even cut 1" X 4" yellow pine without bogging down. I have not darkened their door since.

When I need a new tool for a project. I weigh my options and price everything out buying the tools to do the job if it's cheaper do the work myself then I get basically a free tool to use until it quits. A few years ago I needed to put a bearing in a water pump cost of the bearing was 15 bucks shop press was 150 if I recall correctly. A rebuilt water pump was roughly two hundred bucks I've used that press hundreds of times since then. I also have a miter saw I've been sitting in the rain since October when the barn blue down because it had a broken handle got it out the other day and to my surprise it still worked

Seems like I'm always needing the same couple sizes. Glad I didn't pull the trigger. Have used this predator 1" gas pump every day since I got it to pump water from 20 ft down and fill a 1000 gallon tank. Starts super easy, runs smooth and quiet, and fills the tank up in under an hour. If she holds up for any time at all, i will be pleased.
