I use a spiral bound notebook. So does my father in law and honestly, he can pull out the red book for 2012, blue for whatever... he knows where his stuff is. But what he hasn’t been able to do, is sort them by pasture, side groups, or weaning weights. That, he’s impressed with. Meanwhile, I’m more impressed with his memory of where everything is.

I use CattleMax. Work 2 pastures, one purebreds and one commercial. Don’t know of a better solution and they solve problems.

I started using Calfbook this year. I don't need all the fancy stuff that comes with many of the others. For the premium version it's $25 a year. It's handy for a few reasons. I can update things or add things on my phone at the same time my wife is inputting things on her phone. When we get back to wifi and sync our phones we both have each others information, and because it's saved on the cloud we could both lose our devices and not lose the info. Once in a while there is a glitch (sometimes it takes several attempts to sync), but have never lost any information. It makes pdf reports too which is nice for computer work.

Installed calfbook today and loaded up all the info my daughter could come up with....lol So far, I think it will do everything I need it to. Thanks for the tip, I didn't know anything existed besides cattlemax.

I personally like Ranchr. Its simple and easy to use. They have a mobile app and it has a really big free tier. But you do have to pay for access to the web app if you prefer doing it on a computer
