Tag 402 had his blood collected for genomics while home. I should have that info back next week... (I am usually right at 2 weeks turn around time)... I’m excited to see what he does. I know a lot of folks aren’t about EPDs but I like having a bit more accuracy and truly use it as a tool.
I can’t wait to get ALL our bull calves in one pen and really start critiquing them.

We have 3 really nice Acclaim bull calves from this mating and the EPD's are all pretty consistent. One will be better on cows but I would personally not be afraid to put him on heifers either.
They're still so young yet but I think they're going to be some amazing looking fellas'. Acclaim doesn't work on everything but I really think we nailed this mating. (she is a tour of duty daughter)
The donor (Tour of Duty daughter) just calved a natural calf sired by MGR Treasure. I watched her carefully yesterday, to ensure everything went fine. Saw she was calving and thought with the guys gone, I'd just monitor her for any difficulties. She's been just fine in the past but I wasn't about to lose one on my watch. I stayed afar and had my binoculars out. Husband did not get a chance to sex it last night or work it but I am anxious to know. Either will be just fine but I just love those Treasures.
