How do you keep the weeds and grass out of your garden?
I’m doing it wrong. I’m trying to kill the Bermuda in my garden, the crabgrass in my yard but trying to grow both in my pasture. And not having any success at any of it

Only way is to smother it. Plastic or cardboard. Cardboard works best because it's organic . Works love it and easier to keep in place if you keep it wet.

I'm having a nut grass problem. It's grown thru the landscape fabric and Roundup won't kill it.

I believe a herbicide named poast works on nutsedge. Been awhile don't take my word for it.

As far as garden weeds go, when I went to drip irrigation, it really slowed weed growth. At least in the middles.

We have recently sodded the front and back with zoysia and the landscaper won't spray until there are no longer any lines between the blocks. I have no idea what they'll use as it could be the poast product. BTW if you spray Roundup on crushed granite it will fade it.

I spray Stealth over the rows after I plant seeds, as a preemergent herbicide. I does pretty good against typical grasses, doesn't do much with broadleaf from what I have seen, morning glory vines, and jympson weeds will still come. Stealth is listed safe to use over quite a few different vegetables.

I use a backpack sprayer and roundup. I cut a hole in the lid of a snap top plastic milk jug and cut the bottom out of the jug and slide it over the sprayer nozzle. You can spray right up next to plants that way with no drift.

I use Round up to control and remove bind weed, bermuda and Johnson grass with good results.

Thanks! I'll look at these for the wild stuff that comes thru after the landscaper does his deal.
