My son is fifteen. He picked up a guitar for the first time a little over a year ago and hasn't looked back. His youth pastor showed him a few things and an older gentleman that leads our worship service has spent a few afternoons with him here and there. That same older gentleman told us one week ago that he wouldn't be in church today and my son said no problem, he'd cover it. I've never heard the boy sing but I'll be darned if he didn't put four songs together and get up there and wow us all. In Psalms it tells us about simply making a joyful noise unto the Lord and I'm proud to say my son's performance was above and beyond.
That's fantastic. Kids seem to pick up on instruments faster than us older folks. I picked up the guitar around 30 years old. I can just now keep from embarrassing myself when I'm the only one in the room.
Vote for liberties, it's better to die free than live being a slave.
When you do something for the Lord with a pure heart he will take care of the rest. Good for your boy. 15 is a tough age. Glad he’s walking the path he’s on.
