You must have a lot of lands. That's so great. I love my vegetables that I know how to grow and that I can eat them in peace and not have to worry. The last ones I picked were tomatoes, and they finally have a real flavor. We picked some from the store and they taste like water.

I think I murdered my two tomato plants. I dug up old horse manure and filled two cattle protein tubs and placed them inside that. In the bottom, I placed some banana peelings and some Epsom salt. Stirpped the plants down to be able to plant deeper, and planted them. Watered them well and then one started wilting so badly. Grrrr. One had a nice tomato on it and the bottom started turning dark. Each time I water it, I do use some epsom salt. I used quick lime and they were doing so well.
They were out in full sun before transplanting them. The manure had been out over the winter. The manure was in chunks, but it was broken down. Weeds were growing in it, so, it seemed that it was not too hot.
So, I am not a vegetable grower it seems. That really ticks me off that I cannot grow two freaking tomato plants. The other plant seem that it will be OK. (knock on wood) So, I guess I will stick to blueberries and trees.
