So on Friday I went to the Bronc riding in Baker City. The bucking horses were supplied by Sonny Riley, Flying Five Rodeo. I got to thinking that the first time I got on one of Sonny's broncs was July 4, 1971. Dang that is a long time ago. I go tto thinking. None of the bronc riders were even born then..... Heck the parents of the bronc riders might not have been born yet either! I suddenly feel a whole lot older.

I was in high school in 71 and tough as nails. Work tobacco fields all day if not in school then fish or hunt at night. Somehow I got old too.

It's been around twenty years since I've ridden broncs(at least on purpose) and I wasn't born yet.

It's been around twenty years since I've ridden broncs(at least on purpose) and I wasn't born yet. It has been a couple weeks short of 38 years since the last time I nodded my head.
I heard a good one this week. Someone said something to Jim Shoulders about him retiring. He said when you retire they send you a check every month. He just quit.

I was in a foreign country punching holes in the air (and other things) 48 years ago.
