Till you've been up close to a bison, their size is deceiving. Huge! And pretty fast too, tho it takes a bit for them to get moving from a standing start. 1st time I saw one up close was at San Angelo Tx State Park and their fences were closely spaced sawn utility poles and about 8 strand 5/8" cable stretched tight as the dickens and I still wasn't sure about being that close to them. The old bull was pawing up a dust storm and snortin and slinging snot. They definitely got a unique odor to them too.
Ain't no way I would put myself close to a bunch of wild ones, much less my wife and family. The daughter didn't know but the parents should have never been close or allowed the kid that close. Just dumbasses.
