Is there a way to repair anal prolapse? Vet here says as soon as the stitch comes out so will the prolapse. 500lb bull calf. Going to slaughter tomorrow.

Just ignore it is the best option unless it does not retract when he quits riding a cow.

Can they be done like a pigs prolapse? Rigid tube in the butt, constricting band around the protruding tissue. The prolapse eventually falls off and the animal can still defecate

Probably would have made some pretty good burger and a few steaks if you needed some for your own freezer, but not much usable meat left after processing. I've never had one with an anal prolapse, so i can't really comment on that.

If the tissue is healthy enough, they can just cut out the prolapsed section and sew it back together also.
