Polaris 6x6 is hard to beat. When all 6 wheels are pulling it's hard to stick. Mine keeps a sprayer on it from spring till fall. Is this the 4 wheeler style or side by side? I have been eyeballing one but they are hard to find. It a side by side Smokinm

Last year I bought a little Bronco II, that thing is the shit. It actually turns sharper than a UTV, plus it has heat/air. Durn thing will go anywhere and it stores a lot of stuff. I gave 3K for it, best money I spent in a long time.

We just bought 2 new Polaris Ranger 1000's, trade them in every couple years. I seriously don't know what we'd do without them! I use mine to feed, check cattle daily, haul calves, have a winch which is super handy, windshield/wipers, heated seats, etc. Plus the new body style comes with a ton of storage room, 6 cup holders (it's the little things that make me happy) and sits higher, which is great for our rocky terrain. Lemme put it this way: my 2017 F250 has around 13,500 miles and the two 2017 Rangers we just traded had appx 5700 miles each. That's how much we use them. And clearly I don't get off the ranch much.

I gave 3K for it, best money I spent in a long time. I had for a few years, the 1st year Jeep Cherokee. Put 1/4 million miles on it out in W. Texas. Sure wish I still had it. Looked like hammered pooh when I sold it to a deer hunter, but it would go anywhere. I only sold it because I was afraid one of the dogs would chew another hole in the back seat and die and I wuz mad anyway that AMC/Jeep didn't bother to tell me that upholstery had foam inside .. bastards!

Well we have looked around at atvs and utvs, was leaning towards a 4 wheeler at first, then realized a utv might suit our needs better. It would have some room to haul feed or fence patching supplies. I think they both have pros and cons as far as what we are looking for, and the utv may be the most practical. That thinking kind of goes against what I have always thought, have always thought I would rather have a truck to use, but after putting a lot of money into an S10, and then using my 1500 pretty hard, I'm now thinking a utv would save a lot of wear and tear on our trucks. Looked at several kinds, have pretty much narrowed it down to a bigger model, gasoline engine Kubota, Polaris, or Kawasaki. In that order at point. Has anyone had any experience with any of those machines?

Liked them real well. The reasons that are prompting us to go with a bigger model is to get power steering, and descent control with a little more power on the hills. If we didnt have hills everywhere, I think an rtv400 would be what I would go with.

Ranching practices sure do change, from not having either until the latter 80s, just horses and dirt bikes, to not hardly being able to conduct business without both. The wife and I drove a Roxor at a dealers event a couple days ago. Really think it could be a useful outfit, and tougher than a Ranger. Might get a wild hair and pick one up. The accessories for it look like what will add up in a hurry.

Good Lord! Cheap crappy floor boards I'd say. Have had a big stick come through the floor board of a Ranger before, but nothing like this. http://instagr.am/p/B05xYZ2h_9y

Not that there's likely any difference, but I think the guy with his leg impaled is in a Yamaha. So this is what's on my wish list to try next. The one we drove was the new automatic transmission.

I think I'd get a beater Toyota Tacoma 4x4 for a 1/3 of the price. Probably go anywhere that would go and go to town.
