It don't always work for aborting a calf. A young turd head bull got in with the heifers last fall. Gave all the heifers a shot of lute, yesterday one of the heifers had a little bull calf.

It's around 85% effective for the first trimester and then it drops to 35%. Two doses fourteen days apart is fairly reliable but even then you get some that fall through the cracks.

You're preachin' to the choir. But it was my understanding it's 93% up to 100 days/1st trimester. Luted my heifer day 49. Nope! That said, sounds like she had it on her own & presumably doing okay?

She did have it on her own and is doing fine. Nice looking little bull calf. At least i know what the sire was so no problems with that.
