Cats. My problem is the 'dillos and the only truly effective means of eradication is a .22 - but still a losing battle.

I've heard that if you spray for grubs they will go away but I've never tried it. I got pretty good at trapping them there for a while. Now I use a basset hound. He was my ex's dog. She left that worthless little shit here and I'll be danged if he hasn't turned into a not so bad dog. Guess he didn't get along with her either. He will dig a little but mostly he jus sniffs them out and waits for them to surface and grabs them. He's pretty much cleaned up the whole yard.

Old government trapper friend of mine says worms soaked over night in antifreeze. Put them in their run and never touch the with your hands.
I never tried it. Over on the coast the house and yard was on an old gravel bar. A mole would need a card in the miners union and blasting powder to shoot his way through the rocks.

Get rid of the grubs and you’ll get rid of the moles and the armadillos. I just went through the battle with both. Irrigated grass must attract the grubs bc I don’t have any issues until I start watering heavy. Usually kill about 4-5 armadillos then I won’t have any problems for a year or two. Then they’ll be back.

I've never tried this on moles but in CA ground squirrels were a major problem. Chewing gum worked like a charm. They couldn't digest it.

We moved from a large ranch (1700 acres) to small farm a few years ago that was over run with moles. Tried the various scissor traps to no avail plus the excavating required to properly probe & set the traps was a pain and caused as much damage as the moles themselves. Couple of months ago a neighbor (he & his wife are wily experienced trappers) suggested we try these: www.bishco.com/shop/gopherhawk-trap-only-3340200 Borrowed one from the neighbor and caught a mole within hours. Never even probed for the runway, just jammed the trap into the fresh mound. Bingo. Ordered 6 and couldn't be more pleased. Gets gophers equally as well. We've essentially eliminated the moles/gophers from the property. Not affiliated with the Bishop Co. This product is remarkable & they have the best bang for your buck.

The coyotes get rid of them in the pasture. They wait for the animal to move and then pounce on them. I often see the one spot they heard or saw the move and they dig in that very spot.
The dogs take care of them in the back yard. They will start digging and tear up a run for a ways; then they get to the Coyote method, and watch and listen for when they start tunneling again.
The Coyotes are great for taking out vole communities around here. A vole community can wipe out a lot of soybeans. I suppose they move in the old mole runs or make their own.
I watch the coyotes moving across the pasture at times but I have never seen them digging. Of course the cows start chasing them and they will come out through the yard and cross the road to the acreage across the road.
