After my son built the pens for a new halal butcher facility located out in the hill country between here and Austin I began selling them hay. This is a brand new pretty impressive facility. Not huge by any means but not some jake-legged outfit. The halal meat company being out of Austin, this being a kill/butcher facility placed out of sight in the country. Their need is for small square bales. And doesn't require high quality fertilized hay. Although most of what I send is haygrazer. They don't complain as long as it's clean hay. They have gone from 50 to two hundred bales a week in about a month and have pretty much a standing order as long as I can keep up. I'm hiring a employee that is not a fence builder for the first time. Not just for them, but their business made it where I can't keep up myself. What they pay for hay anddelivery it's become quite a chunk of cash flow.

Good deal, hopefully they'll keep their halal slaughterhouse animals only.

Do they do them all with a knife? I don't know. I know they take them back one at a time.

That's a cottage industry, here where I am. Lots of little 'out-of-the-way' places. I know a few locals who have been making a tidy sum by selling to these guys as well as allowing them to kill & butcher at their farms.

Glad youre making a few bucks. Just remember that their religion orders them to take over and slaughter all infidels, in addition to certain butchery ideals

For my ex and I it was Mexicans. She had a small business selling eggs, produce, etc. Whatever I produced she wanted to sell it. It turned into pretty good money once we figured out that the Mexicans would pay good money for dark birds. I couldn't give a white turkey away but the broad breasted bronze or a spanish black were worth $50-75 each and they'd buy fifteen at a time for a wedding. Chickens were the same deal. Any red or black bird was worth fifteen bucks, even used up old hens. I remember one time about fifteen Mexicans showed up in an old beater van in their Sunday best. They were headed to a wedding in Mexico the next day and wanted to show how prosperous they were in America. They bought about thirty pumpkins left over from Halloween and a dozen turkeys and a few chickens. They put the pumpkins on the roof of the van and tied the birds legs and held them in their laps and away they went.

When the Muslims try to run a sale barn bull through pens made for sheep and goats, the inevitable repairs made for a very lucrative Christmas Eve emergency repairs. They served a very good lunch though.
Yeah I'll try to be post pictures again later. This jake-legged site ain't working right now..lol
