It is amazing those that want us to give up our guns are protected by others carrying guns or carrying guns themselves.

As I'm sometimes prone to do, I'll expand on this subject a bit.
In the early part of the 20th Century, It was stated that "Truth is always the first casualty of war". (Usually attributed to Hiram Johnson, a politician from Calif.)
He was referring to both a physical war and a war of words. The pen IS often mightier than the sword, and what the media prints and says is going to play heavily into this assault on the 2nd amendment.
If Truth is indeed the first casualty, then history has shown that private ownership or access to both the Truth and arms is the 2nd casualty, even before the first cannon is fired.
In somewhat of a microcosm of this 100 year old adage, we all see the Truth deleted and sneered upon at CT on an almost daily basis, and replaced by Untruth whereupon the thread is immediately locked & closed to further discussion. It is done this way for the sole purpose of censoring the Truth out of the discussion.
Don't ever let that happen here....

So we can have a discussion on most any thing we want to with out one sided filters.

I've been listening to the words being said. The President has continually said that the mentally ill should not be able to obtain guns. I haven't heard him say what red flag laws would do, and that is remove rights prior to due process. Red flag laws wont happen. They legally cannot and are not constitutional. I might be wrong on this part, but I've thought this might be the way it all goes down. How do you keep the violent mentally ill from shooting, stabbing, choking, poisoning, lighting on fire, running over, bombing or yielding a blunt object at someone? You don't release them on the public. Touchy subject, but I think our current situation is completely broken. michaelsavage.com/trump-suggests-move-back-to-institutionalizing-the-mentally-ill/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
