My sweetie was trying to figure out who's getting culled next and came up a bred heifer short in her count. We've been feeding hay for almost 3 weeks so the cattle haven't been in the woods, so I assume it disappeared before then. My guess is, it's got to be a clerical error but my wife doesn't think so. I guess we had better start paying a little more attention to what's going on around here. I told her we'll just chalk this one up to Bigfoot or aliens.

She showed up at my place and I loaded her and took her to the sale barn. Don't worry she didn't bring much ...

I've got 6 yellow tagged open heifers in the lot, you can come buy them at a discounted price to replace your one missing.

Sometimes they die. I've always been amazed at how fast the disappear when they do.

Your heifer wandered over to CT and got banned for being honest and truthful....... "Cut and Paste" decided that she was a horse because they have cows in KY that should be horses and then some Mod locked the thread where somebody tried to correct things and said she said "moo".

Top minerals. Not like sorry neighbors with only 2400# ones today. Videos and pictures are great. Will be the first one.

We had yellow 26 cow up the road a few weeks ago. Don't know where she came from or where she went but she could jump a 5' fence from a dead still stance. I went to all neighbors within several miles. I learned nothing other than red ear tags are preferred by most.

I sold 60 bred heifers a year in 2013-2016. They all had yellow ear tags...... but I guess by now they would be considered cows.

When she sold out, I penned & loaded all her cattle but that one. She jumped out the pen, then jumped a 5 strand wire fence INTO the yard, the out of another 5 strand on opposite side of the yard, and last I saw, she had crossed the river and was headed for Liberty County. Sister just watched her swim the river, then said "Good riddance".

Guy that used to farm up the road, had a bull that ended up on our place. Had a good 5 wire fence on it and no cows, so it was surprising he was there. Got him in the lot and called the guy. Before he got down there I watched that bull stand flat footed and jump over and clear about a 6 ft panel.
So when he got there, we caught him again. When we got him loaded said something about his jumping abilities.
The guy is a nice guy, just a little socially awkward and talks pretty slow. He said, yeah we call him Jumper.
Seemed fitting to me.

715, maybe she decided to look for greener pastures. It's a book keeping error and the book keeper won't accept she made a mistake.
