My oldest boys boy. My oldest was a really good athlete and played some college ball. His son however isn’t as gifted and is as redneck as I am. He’s actually a pretty good athlete, but just doesn’t care about sports and his dad doesn’t understand it. My son said when he caught this fish you’d of thought he just won game 7 in the World Series. He callled me and so so excited I couldn’t hardly understand him. His excitement made my day.  |

Sure no harm in bragging on grandkids Cross. Matter of fact if you don't want to hear about mine best just not stop to talk. Can't blame that boy for being excited about that fish. That is a pretty good catch.

Hell ya you can brag on kids. I think less of people that aren't proud enough of their kids and grandkids to brag on them a little. That's a nice catch. He's hooked for life now.
FWIW my boy was absolutely horrible... I mean pitiful bad... at every sport he tried up until about a year ago and then all of a sudden something clicked. He's playing football for the first time ever and made a few nice moves last night that impressed the coaches enough that they're going to start him in a few games this year and he's only a sophmore playing with a bunch of seniors that have been playing together for years. I don't think the kid has ever even watched a game all the way through but I have quite a few pictures of him holding up fish...

Nice catch!! I can see why the boy was excited. Nothing wrong with being proud of the kids or grandkids.

Just for the record.
My oldest was born when I was 16.
I was 32 years old the first time he beat in the 40 meters.
They clocked him at 4.4 in college and he barely beat me

There ain't nothing quite like them grandbabies. I would hurt a sumbeotch over my kids, but I'd kill for that grandboy of mine. Him and Papa is tight.
