Personally I'm still waiting to see the Trump benefits. I hear about how good everything is, but don't see it in my life or bank account. All taxes up, health care up and everything I need cost more now than ever before. Just by dumb luck our fuel prices are still relatively cheap, otherwise we'd be in a real mess. I believe the solar and wind farms have kept the fuel prices in check. IMO All I can do is remind myself how bad everything could of been if hillary was the POTUS. I refuse to drink the Kool aid, believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.

It's a Forrest/trees situation . The rescinding of all the regulations has saved you more money than anything else. That has had a big impact on fuel. Paying more in taxes is a direct result in success.

Just because there is a pause in stupidity on the national level does not mean that local, county, state and other semi-governmental groups have increased IQ or read the tea leaves in the short term. If you really want to reduce taxes, let school districts but cheaper but functional facilities and let parents or sponsors pay for the extra curricular. Same thing for parks, more protected land, ... leave that money in our wallets.

But if everyone is doing so good why isn't the budget balanced or the deficit going down?

But if everyone is doing so good why isn't the budget balanced or the deficit going down? We had sunken pretty damn deep in the ditch when he took office. First things first. We need industry. 25% of nothing is nothing. 25% of several trillion is not as much as 35%, but with the trillions increasing and the economy expanding, the result will be more to go toward the deficit. But if we keep spending, it will not matter.
Employment rates are setting all time records for some categories. That will mean more income taxes paid in.
My investment portfolio has jumped leaps and bounds.
True, my personal income has not changed all that much but it is better.
My gold is not nearly as high as it was under Obama. He had gold pushed to over $1800 at one point. Bullion holdings are not jumping under Trump. I'll just keep sitting on the tubes.
Obama and his war on decency and police had me disheartened. I have hope again.

Drilling rigs boring holes here is what keeps the fuel prices down. I think the country as a whole is better off today than it has been in a very long time. If the country is better off we as Americans are better off as a whole.

If the country is better off we as Americans are better off as a whole. My thinking is supply and demand, it takes a lot of fuel to produce electric power. Almost 18% of the electrical power generated in the US came from wind and solar in 2018. I believe your right on the country Randy, but shouldn't you be putting something away when things are so good? I saved and paid my debts when times were good. We're not doing anything but spending and cutting taxes to those who can afford pay them. There's going to be a bunch of folks looking for a bailout when things change, and they will. I find it very odd that so many folks have a positive attitude in the way the country is being run. Hopefully that's a good thing.

What did it cost to produce that 18% ? I have talked to quite a few people that say the tax breaks helped them from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Mine didn't change much. But you could have Hillary and be paying more. Saw on the news this morning that people were spending more but were also saving more.

Hillary would of ruined the country and put US in a civil war. The liberal dumocrats are crazy, just follow the 2020 dumocrat debates. Can you imagine if they had the SCOTUS on their side?

I remember all the marching through the cities before against our police forces. We were supposed to keep our mouth shut while this went on. I can't imagine how much worse that it could have grown if Mr. Trump had not of won the election. I did not see any riots in my area, but I am sure that George Soros could have arranged it. If Hillary Clinton had won, we would see her weakness and corruption tearing down the legal system.
