Wife is getting the itch to replace her car with an f150. I won’t pay what they want for a new one but she wants newer and the v6 would be nice for fuel economy. Anybody got one or know much about them. Gas motors these days 200k miles is pretty easy to get but do these hold up as well? Won’t be towing just a ride for the most part. Thanks for any info you can give.

My wife has a 2012 we bought new. It's been mostly trouble free, a great little truck really. Haven't hit the 100K mile mark quite yet though, so I guess the jury is out on durability.

When I bought my F-350 I talked to the salesman quite a while about trucks. He's a good old boy and a neighbor of mine so he told me the good bad and ugly about all of them. In his opinion the ecoboost F150 is one of the best trucks going down the road. He said he's seen a few wit 300,000 already and none of them have had anything but regular service.

Take some time and go to youtube and search " ecoboost torture test". It's worth the watch.
In my opinion that motor is a diesel that happens to run on gas. Only gas pot I've ever driven that makes more power after an upshift than right before it.

Not yet. I get a little closer all the time but there is tons of red tape every step of the way.
