I should have probably been clearer. A max magazine capacity of 5 for hunting. Get caught with a magazine with higher capacity, and good luck. Kind of like shotguns and hunting Again no such rule out here. Three rounds in a shotgun for birds but rifles..... how many can you stuff in it. Odd

Nope, never wanted one. Bolt actions shoot better, are cheaper, and come in what ever load and config you can dream of. Why would you want anything else? Bet you don't have a feral hog problem. I'm glad you don't. A bolt action is fine for one target, 20-30 pigs in the pasture, not so much. As far as accuracy is concerned, the normal man won't see a difference enough to matter 99% of the time. There is no comparison in the ability to configure a bolt gun the way one can an AR. Not even close. Why would anyone want anything else? Because you can, this is America...lol You sound a little like Joe Biden when he says all you need is a shotgun. You can have just as many configurations with a bolt action, plus 10x as many actually useful loads, and you're not limited to weight or barrel length. Try putting a 28" bull barrel on your AR. Only advantage an AR has is RPM, there are bolt actions out there that use AR mags, so mag capacity is not an issue. Although with a short bolt single lug rifle, and the right shooter, a bolt action can be fired quickly and effectively. No AR needed.

Quick search showed you can put a 28" bull barrel on an AR. www.x-caliber.net/custom-ar-barrelNice video, bet he could have got a few more if he wasn't racking that bolt himself. If you think they were using bolt action by choice you are fooling yourself. If I had to guess I'd say it would be illegal in their country soley based on the language spoken. Here's a video to show the usefulness of an AR platform.

As far as the useful loads, you can configure an AR in anything from a 22 long rifle to a .50 cal. You can make it damn near anything you want it to be.

I like my ar15s. I love my ar10. It’s extremely accurate for a gas gun.

First thing I though of when you said there was a limit was all the model 94 Winchesters there were in the woods when I was a kid. They hold 7. Back when I was young over half the people you would see during deer season would be packing a 30-30.

We don't have them as bad as in that video here in my part of FL. It's not uncommon to turn into a field and see 10-20. Here are a few from the game camera.
