So, I've read in the past where some of the older folk like to rotate wormers each round, but some are saying now it's not necessary. I started out using Cydectin injectable, but when that ran out I went to their pour-on. I've learned where pour ons are not as effective and now I'm wondering which direction would be preferred? I kinda think just spinning the wheel and picking one might be the route to take at this point.

Use Cydectin injectable until it no longer works. Testing some stool samples us the only real way of knowing. My opinion is if you keep changing none will work in a few years

I agree with KT on that, I would use whatever you are using until it apparently doesn't. We have used Cydectin pour on for several years. I reckon it works ok still haven't had any visible issues as of yet. When we had sheep it was easy to see when there was worm problem with them.

Thanks! I have more pour-on left, but it will be gone next time I work them. Just trying to figure out the best plan after that.

We try to pour on in the spring and vaccinate in the fall. We rotate products each time. Have had vets recommend doing it that way. Also have read research that says it is the most effective way.

We rotate wormer I like injectable over pour on. We worm our calves with Valbazen drench at weaning and have had good success with that as well.
