That is ridiculous. It seems to me that the restaurants are doing well, every time we go to one the lines in store and drive through both are packed. They get you through efficiently and quicker than it appears like it would be. If it was that offensive I doubt the business would be that good. I wish that we had one here in our town.

The universities need to be bulldozed and started all over again.
The ones claiming someone isnt "inclusive" are the only ones trying to not include people and their rights to speak.
The professors are lost causes. The kids arent. You can teach them with a little time and logic invested. When they realize the BS they are being taught doesn't make sense, a light comes on that the professors cant turn off.

A college campus is private property isn't it.?? Kind of. A public college is essentially owned by the taxpayers (read: Gov't) but the property - not including the streets - are considered private because they are controlled by the university/college. KU, K-State & WSU are all public.

Maybe I'm thinking wrong, but I thought any college/university taking federal dollars had to abide by federal regulations.

Maybe I'm thinking wrong, but I thought any college/university taking federal dollars had to abide by federal regulations. Some of those fed regs do exactly opposite what you and I (and others here) expect from a govt of a free people. 9 sorriest words ever spoken "We're from your govt. We're here to help you"

KU, K-State & WSU are all public. I think most public universities include sidewalks, lawns/open areas, and some forum areas as public spaces as well, which seems to be where many of the news stories on clashes of free speech happen. I was trying to ferret that out a little further as it's an interesting question since so much state and federal funds are poured into them- saw a statistic that higher learning institutions receive somewhere around 14% of total tax dollars. Ran across this pertaining to university buildings in Texas: "State law requires that University facilities and property be used only for state purposes and not for private gain." But like you say, the university has the control to decide how their buildings are used for those purposes.

Who do they pay? The state or the university. And isn't the on campus properly being used for private gain??
