Tested our purebred angus for the NH. Had 6 that we didn't cull. 2 of the 6 came back as a carrier. 1 being a bull. As it so happens, a very nice bull. The heifer, we thought about making her commercial. I believe we can still register her but honestly, why?
Our commercial Epics will all be fattened so we didn't test any of them. We do have a couple really nice bulls from him in our commercial group. Have 77 head we still need to cull heavily. This year will be tough to do, but I suppose it is a good problem to have.
