a couple days ago and decided to video my little group when I threw down some cubes. My little bull that I thought so much of is showing way too much leather for me. The lighter colored heifer I liked the least has now became my favorite. The cross heifer is due with an Angus calf in December.

Great looking cattle in excellent shape. The Pieds are such a pretty cattle. They look like statues and I would want to keep them all.

Nice looking cattle. I reckon the leather is somewhat undesirable to some folks. I have never minded whether or not they had much leather, I don't think that affects their performance or quality other than maybe at a show it's something to penalize.

They are beautiful! One of my friends has a few White Park (British, not horned) that look very similar.

I much prefer a cleaner look up front as that excess just has a sloppy appearance to me. I also think potential customers prefer not seeing it either.

I think you're right, folks will often reference it as critique. I am a rebel I reckon as if I liked a calf all except for some leather I would not let that be a deciding factor for a bull. I am in a different situation, pretty much commercial cattle so it's not a real factor for me. Just more or less saying you have a pretty nice bull calf there and not to sell him too short. We don't see many of those kind of cattle around here. Few years back saw a couple crosses sell at a bred heifer sale. How are they on average for milk? Looks like yours are doing real good with their calves.

I haven't had a group of calves yet that didn't trade out cows and I haven't had a cow that seemed to have minded. They seem to make growing calves a community affair.
