I just tacked it on 35 years ago and never got around to welding the 1 1/2" forged tongue to the trailer. The passenger side looked like it had been cracked for quite sometime the drivers side just happened. That's a Bulldog hitch and no welds broke. I'm going to just bend it back down and weld it up right this time with 4 passes.
