Colossians 3 New International Version (NIV) 3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Lots of things I need to work on. Anger and my language especially when I get angry.

Cross the foul language is little more than a bad habit. Give yourself some time but work on it constantly. You can kick the habit.

I still have a soap taste in my mouth. You're just not trying real hard. Doubt very few of us can eliminate it 100% of the time though but we can certainly improve.

If we lived in a cave, and never got into general population ...we could probably cut it to atleast 80%😀

My Dad said his drill instructor back in WWII. Said that cussing was for those too illiterate to express themselves otherwise. I have tried and for the most part succeeded. I remember my daughter getting in trouble for calling the ag teacher a dumbass. I told her I couldn't disagree with her. But if she had told him that she refused to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed man it would be calling him the same thing and she wouldn't have got into trouble.
Foul language isn't my issue but I fall way short in other regards.

The sailors from NAS Lemoore used to come hang around the ranch with us to learn how to cuss... Somewhere around four years ago when I really started following Christ my language changed and I didn't even have to try. The same thing happened with alcohol, and anger. I just changed...
