What are the parameters that the senate have to hold to when this circus goes to trail? How far are they allowed to go, do they just have to stick to Trump or can they bring in any one involved or not to testify? Can they make Schiff, Palosi, and Biden testify?

Well, I think they can call anyone to testify. But with what's happened in regards to norms and precedents being ignored in the House, I think it would be hard to argue against any way the Senate chooses to act. In all seriousness. |

This whole impeachment thing has been a circus I'm not even convinced they are serious about impeachment they're just throwing mud trying to make it stick. I was wondering if some off the big players in this could be called up to testify it would be interesting to see how far they would go, if they would lie and perjure themselves in front of the Senate.

If I can remember, Trey Gowdy is "legally able " to join the "team" in January. Not sure if it is the beginning of Jan or exactly when, but that seems to stick in my mind. I may not like the way President Trump does everything, he is still HUMAN, and has his faults..... but listening and looking over the way things have basically turned around...... and yes, us farmers are suffering more than other segments..... I still have to say there is no one on the other side that even uses a smidgeon of common sense for anything. And no matter how you slice it, medicare for all and some of the other nonsense that is being tossed around as a right, when the receivers have not even done a thing to EARN it..... just does not set well with me and probably most all that have worked for what little, or lot, of what they have. Get off your duff and earn what you get. It has been a circus, and the way the dems have totally ignored the Biden issues, and his "quid pro quo" video threats, is just plain sickening. Anyone listening to anything he says lately?  He stutters, loses his train of thought, and who the hell wants to hear about his hairy legs.....Yuck... |

IG report is to be out early next week. Flimsy Lindsey Graham will have the IG give the report to his Judiciary committee the 11th. Might be interesting.

Have a feeling as much as the media is looking to downplay it, there's plenty of big things there.
But remember, it isn't about jail time. It's about uncovering the corruption. The US attorney he was paired with will be responsible for the arrests.
And if anyone is concerned about the impeachment circus as Allen appropriately calls it, relax your concerns.
Look at the body language of these guys. Look at what the recent AG Session calls it.
How many promises has the President kept?
Well listen again to what he promised before he was ever elected....listen carefully.
How many news outlets will have cameras rolling non-stop?
He couldn't force them to cover the corruption of DC in any better manner than to turn his own impeachment into a trial of the DC swamp, and that's what i believe is about to happen if they proceed, and i don't believe they have any other option than to proceed.
They cant win at the polls, and as Nancy put it so well, the swamp wont be able to take another term. Then remember what the President promised before his election. Replace US and country with swamp in her statement below- you know she is more concerned about herself than the country. They're talking about the same thing.

Democrats are setting themselves up, they don't have anything on Trump. They're going to vote to impeach and send it to the Republican controled Senate for trial where their witnesses will be testifying under oath with cameras rolling. Trump won't be found guilty of anything and the democrats will hopefully be made to look foolish and any attacks on Trump after that will hurt them.
Trump is getting closer everyday to draining the swamp, coming out of the impeachment trial without anything being found would be a big kick start for the serious work ahead.

Interesting that so many Republican swamp creatures didn't run again in 2018, and there's plenty more in 2020.
I happen to believe they were forced out. Then it will be up to the people to vote the other side out. What's left will be a cleaner legislative branch. 1 of 3.
The president having the duty of executive over the executive branch has been making moves to clean the unelected career rats in that branch through various means. Many departments are being downsized, some moved out of DC and into the communities they serve, and others will be shut down- CIA being one. Duties placed back under military operations where they belong. 2 of 3.
The President has placed approximately 1/4 of all federal judges sitting on the bench at this time. 2 out of 9 supreme court justices and I believe 2 more before the end if his 2nd term. How many more other federal judge positions by the end of that as well? More all the time. 3 of 3.
If we as the people voting do our job, the rest will likely be carried out a long way toward completion if not completed in many instances.

If the President was guilty of anything, we would see the evidence. But so far, we haven't seen a single witness with direct observation of anything that he's been accused of.
So then going a step further, the President has the capability to declassify anything. That's carrying a armored tank to a knife fight. In his defense as has been precedent since the 1st President, he can declassify anything to provide greater knowledge to the American people.
The swamp being a pool of graft and blackmail, will not survive declassification. The NSA under Obama captured all communication. Text, phone calls, emails, television, radio, even HAM radio transmissions... Mrs. Ohr didn't count on that.
Pelosi stated that she thinks he was goading them into impeachment. She's right. But so far, I dont see another choice for them.
Yesterday, he announced that they were all caught red handed. As you pointed out, Gowdy is a prosecutor, not a defense attorney.
3 years is plenty of time for a group of good prosecutors to string together a case on a network of criminals.
My guess anyway.
