There is no excuse. This needs to be framed correctly. The governor is making medical decisions for patients and their doctors.
He just decided he could interpret scientific data and make medical decisions better than people who trained their whole lives to treat people.
The President has intelligently forced this fight. Big Pharma has already lost because of how POTUS positioned the pieces, but it will have to play out. And it will be disheartening to watch.
The democrat party is imploding, but they are going to try to take as many with them as they go.
FDA has been their enforcement arm, and has taken away many effective tools for health care workers over the past few decades. If people only knew....

The whole scheme just seems frustrating and unnecessary, and repeatedly going against what would benefit the people. Was busy today, but kind of seems like Hydroxychloroquine is almost yesterday's news already, on purpose. Hope I'm wrong. I think you're right in that the media will try to bury it. But as has been the case numerous times, they tried to attack the President and claim he was wrong about the potential benefits. And then they used a story about some idiot taking fish tank cleaner to say he was trying to kill people. However, now the entire country knows about it...and so he's already won the information war. Another naturally occurring multipurpose drug you'll probably hear about before long is Sweet Wormwood which has artemisinin in it. I tried to find an article about it real quick, but couldn't place it. However, saw where France is trying to ramp up production of sweet wormwood for export but isnt sure they'll be able to keep up with demand this year. So I don't think the media and big pharma are winning.

I can see a list each day of countries, confirmed cases, death and recovery data. Here in the USA with the extra efforts the death rate is lower than in other developed countries. But I know that there are other factors for lesser developed countries and if you apply unmetered logic you would assume that more would die with less health care in places like Africa, South America, Central America and such. But it seems that they have less cases than I would have guessed and a lot less deaths. Has anyone seen any data or discussion about the heat of the climate and the lesser spread of the virus? It seems to be a possibility or maybe in countries with less health care they have stronger immune systems. Are they just getting the virus and their worst is yet to come? I was just curious. Thanks.

With all that is shutting down, such as air flight, and many many less cars out; this should make a huge difference in our political global warming. At the rate we are going, we should be headed into a virgin world. I wonder if they will report that now. Of course, I am sure that Al Gore has not turned back his electrical use at home. I have a feeling that he is a germaphobe, and is staying home and not flying around the country. I am so thankful that he was never elected as president. I suppose he is in my top ten people that I cannot stand and sure wish he was from a different state.
Ebenezer, I have heard them speak of how the virus spread will slow when the heat comes. It does not survive as well in heat and humidity.

Does it really matter how many cases of the China virus is out there daily, or how many people a day are dying per day? There's 19.5 million people in New York and so far 520 deaths, I'll take my chances with those odds. It's your responsibility to keep yourself safe, not the governments.

It's your responsibility to keep yourself safe, not the governments. 9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” “I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?” 10 The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.” 13 Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Not so[e]; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod,[f] east of Eden.

Same reason so many millions of North Americans buy goods and equipment from China. It's just about all that's available and/or because it's less expensive.

We'll see when this is all said and done how much we will rely on China. I need a fuel pump for my Polaris. China is $10.26. US is 4 times that. I'm on the 3rd China one in a little over a year. Guess which one I am going to order tonight.
