-25* is more than I could dress for. I used to could dress like the Michelin Man and stay warm. Now my internal thermometer doesn't work and I cannot tell when I go from comfortable to a cold sweat. Am I in Florida yet?

Pulling a trailer to SD this time of year in a 2wd pickup is not my idea of fun at all. That could be a rough trip. Be safe going to Ocala, like I said before lots of rich good looking horsewomen down there right now but doesn’t sound like you will be sightseeing. Smokinm, I have always got a kick out of horse people. I think they are some of the most superficial people I have seen. So many times I see them pull up in brand new dually, and a loooong aluminum trailer that has about everything that you could want on it. Then when you go to their house, it might be a house trailer. It is all about looks when you pull up.

I promise you most of the ones in Ocala right now are not living in trailers. The trainers and grooms might be but the ones showing aren’t. I get more of a kick out of the ones in the new King Ranch dually pulling a rickety 2 horse with crow bait on it. That and watching most of them try and park those big rigs, especially if they have to backup.

The other driver took a 51 ft, 8 horse with changing room down to Ocola last week. I can't imagine what that cost.

That is a huge trailer. There was a so called horse trainer down the road that showed in the registered shows. He would take his entire class with him to earn points to be the high point stallion and mare fo the year. He took 4 of each.
This man has an extremely colorful, and very bad reputation for some things he has done. He was cruel to animals and he was a pedofile always advertising in the Quarter Horse Journal for young boys to help him and learn the horse business.
It was a really bad deal. The way he treated kids and animals, I had always said that someone would kill him. When they found him shot in his closet at his house, he had messed with the wrong person.
Yeah, this post is all over the place. I get carried away when I mention him. The story of this man would make a great twisted movie or one of those "Who done it?" murder programs. Our community is a safer one with him gone.

Glad to hear you went down to Florida. I hope the temps were warm here. You may be runnning the air some on days, then turning the heat back on the next day. What kind of truck are they giving you to haul the trailers in?

What kind of truck are they giving you to haul the trailers in? Were pulling with a 2014 Dodge 3/4 ton with a 6.4 gas engine. When I parked last night it had 554,678 miles on it. 13,000 miles on it since Jan 6th

As long as it has power steering, air, heat, radio, and the seat will scoot all the way up, that would work for me. I always enjoyed Sirrus radio when I drove as I listened to people reading books. That kept me awake.

No Sirus but rides great. 2 wheel drive and almost got stuck in the sand in Ocola while backing under a trailer.

Bulltrader, does your 3/4 ton truck have dual wheels? I was thinking about when I had a single wheeled Ford and tried pulling a 7 foot wide stock trailer down the interstate where the tractor trailers had created ruts in the asphalt. When I drove through those ruts, it was almost impossible to control the truck. The trailer wanted to weave back and forth to settle in the ruts, and the truck would fight it trying to slide back into the opposite rut. It could easily have caused an accident if you were driving with the two tip finger steering that I see so many use. I would have to drive slow and pull away from the ruts all together. But when I purchased the dual wheel ton truck, then I was in control of the trailer.
So, what kind of setup does your truck have? I hope you have duals with so many different road conditions. Maybe you are sitting at home for the next few days with so many roads covered in snow and ice. If so, catch up on your sleep.

Truck is single wheel. I brought a trailer from Florida Saturday and had a spot in the floor changed and the other driver took it back last night. He got back in about 6 tonight. I got pictures but now forgot how to load them. photos.app.goo.gl/ZsBk5ihhLYcxLAXr5

So either you can lay across the front seat or the back seat when you need to catch a few hours eh? See, once you teach a dog to do a trick, he never forgets!! Ha-ha-ha!!
I am just counting the days down till we see above freezing temps. Supposedly, that will be Saturday. Then I will complaining about the mud again.
