Well took a picture and now can't wrap my mind around how to post it. Oh, 584,290 miles. I think that's 43,000 miles since January.

Oklahoma won’t be bad. I hope they pay a 10x rate to go to Massachusetts. Even that is probably not enough. You will be ready for lots of spring water by the time you get back. Only place up there worth seeing is Vermont and everything you have to drive thru before and after that just isn’t worth it. Safe travels!

Already a change of plans. Can't deliver in OK until Monday morning. Not sure if I want to go to Massachusetts late in the 4th of July week. I should be back by midnight or a little later Monday night but doubt I try to go to Massachusetts Tuesday. Oh well a day up and a day back.

I have never been up through that area before. It would be a fun trip for me to see what it looks like. I hope you drive through some pretty scenery. Just think that is where so many of our ancestors came through at first when they hit the United States. Too bad all the convienience stores were not already up to make things much easier on them to get something to eat. Ha-ha!! I think if it weren't for the Indians bringing pumpkins to the people, they would have starved to death. So, I hope it turns out to be a good trip for you.

What I used to do when I got really sleepy was to crosss my arms on the steering wheel, gripping each side with my hands forming the "x." Find a shade tree and lay your head down in the cradle of that "X" and it feels comfortable. But as you sleep, about 15- 30 minutes into a deep sleep, your arms will go to sleep from the pressure of your head, and begin to ache and it will wake you up. Works like a charm. That way you do not sleep the day away. I never did like sleeping to an alarm clock as the abrupt sound of an alarm clock is too harsh. But the slow feeling of your arms aching is gradual, and you are prepared for the wake up.
Something that becomes a habit, if you get used to pulling over at the same time each day or the same place, your body will shut down on you when you reach that spot. I always tried to avoid that routine. Just some of my past trucking experiences. I wish I could get on the road about 3 days a week now.
Something else I used to do to keep my sleep shorter on Saturdays. I would get in around 7-8:00 Saturday morning, and it would be so nice, but sleep was needed badly. So right before I went to sleep that morning, I would drink a tall glass of water. Then that would cut my sleeping down to around noon or a little after to give me a good amount of time to take care of the lawn. That was another way your body was preparing you to wake up slowly and no abrupt alarm clock going off. I do not like an alarm clock.
