I swore up and down when I left California after four years of crippling drought that I would never complain about rain again. I'm still not quite ready to break my oath but I'm starting to see why a person might complain a little about being overly blessed with moisture. If you want to gripe about weather I might share your sentiment even if I do it privately in my own head. What kind of weather problems are you facing this year?

Heavy snow, flooding, cooler summer temps, delayed planting, probably washy grass that'll hurt our weans again this year...
Lovely. I was wearing a hoody this weekend on the river.

Oh joy! Not ten minutes after I posted this the skies have opened up yet again and it's flat pouring! More much needed moisture. If it had held off for another week or so I might have had to mow the front ditch. At this point I'm thinking I should have just stocked fish in it and ran a hose to it for the one day this year that it has dried out.

If I didn't forget to dump the rain gauge I had 2" this weekend. We have wet places but over all it soaks away reasonably fast

Please send it my way, we are dry, dry, dry. Starting to get critical here. Hopefully this depression in the Gulf forms and sits on us for a few days. Fingers crossed.

Really don’t have a weather problem this year. Winter wasn’t overly wet or cold. Lots of rain since March effecting haying but I got mine done fair enough. Encountered numerous wind events that could have been a lot worse but I encountered little damage. Probably going to change soon but daytime high temps are running 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. Grass is green, cows are fat. Weather has been good for me.

We are kinda cool for this time of year (high low 90's)and that's okay with me. Some of the hay guys have complained because our regular pop up storms we have nipped them a few times.

Friday just about everyone in the area was either laying it down or baling what they had already cut and we wound up with about two inches from a ten percent chance. The same thing happened Sunday and again today though not quite as much rain. it's been raining pretty steady for a couple of hours today.

That's normal for us here this time of the year. It's best to just cut on schedule and about 80% of the time the pop up showers will miss you. I do try and get a high pressure system in play if I can. 2 weeks ago I cut a week earlier than I wanted and some of the other folks that do hay were coming by with thier boats and posting pics at the beach. Then the next week they started cutting . All of them got it wet several times.

That’s been on my mind.....I look for patterns when it comes to weather. Last time Georgia was scorching was about 2010. Got relief just as we went into the fire.
