Dang, that sucks! I've only had one that was a little aggressive as a heifer but it was also a hard pull and she simmered down once I got the calf latched on.

My hot mess of a "bottle calf". Actually, not the only one in the herd. I'm supplementing a calf whose mama has been treated for mastitis, has 1 dead quarter, and I'm surrounded by cows every time I bring out the bottles to the pasture. Da hell? And none of them were bottle babies. Big Bertha is the worst!

a little to close for comfort, yesterday around 5 PM had sirens going off and getting calls from friends asking if we were taking cover, we even had a storm chaser stop by and take videos, had been following it from leaf river, it had a couple of tails come down and went right back up, glad nothing happened.

Glad you didn't get hit by a twister. We had a close call last summer. Pretty unnerving when one is headed towards you.

It was weird watching it develop right over the top of us, two tails came down and went right back up, they sure can make you nervous.

Haase, I am glad that the weather did not tear anything up at your farm. I do enjoy storms, but just leave the damage part off. I do love the deep long rumbles of thunder and the light show. I would love it more if it would stop knocking out the electric fence too!! The way the temperature drops feels good. I am not big on tornadoes at all, but I do love to watch the clouds when a storm is coming up. They come in all shapes and sizes. We were out at the other farm feeding cattle when a cloud in the distance was long and round. It looked like a column of clouds. I pointed it out to my husband as I had never seen one like that before. Just as we were getting through putting out the feed, the wind picked up and I noticed that the cloud was sort of twisting in a column like a rolling pin. We watched it as it got to us, and the temperature dropped several degrees, and the wind was swapping directions. It was so fascinating to watch. I must admit that it did scare me a little. When I got home, I looked the cloud up and it is called a "Rolling Cloud." It was so much fun to watch it. Here is a picture of one that came over Tennessee in 2018. I did not see it, but the cloud we saw came over us Friday. www.foxnews.com/science/ufo-bizarre-roll-cloud-in-tennessee-stuns-residents

Thanks Chuckie, I like watching storms come in as well, this one started to develop over the top of us, when the rotation in the clouds started that's when you get a little nervous, actually saw two tails come down and went right back, them roller clouds looked pretty neat that you showed.

And it gets worse........much worse. Other pictures aren't on my phone. Got to figure that one out later. Guy that works for us was disking up an old alfalfa field, but there's places that have turned into bogs that used to be farmed, in other areas as well. Weird how a tractor....like the tow tractors trying to find solid-ish ground.... could just be setting, and all of a sudden drop in. Bottomless. If you notice the Canada Thistle has come up terrible on the low ground. Never ending battle when there's so much of it in the country. img upload These three FWA tractors, a 7810, 6175, and a 6195, tied together, and then a really, really long barge tow rope back to the stuck 8345 couldn't hardly budge it. Disk was unhooked and drug out of the way. post image onlineWill post more carnage later....will try anyway.
