Can we please make a rule? No cat people allowed... I'm fine with a good mouser but I don't trust people that will pick a cat over a dog as a pet... they rank right up there with people that choose bird names for their profiles for reasons other than to make fun of other people that chose bird names for their profiles.

I'm not a cat guy but have a stray that decided the barn was a good place to live. Had been fighting mice and rats but she's really made a big difference.

They do make a difference in the nice and rats. We have an old barn cat that will catch anything from a lizard to a rabbit and has been known to send a few stray dogs on their way back home.

This one has been known to leave dead snakes at the wife's SUV driver's door. She doesn't enjoy that very much.

I had a really good barn cat named Scram for a while. We hauled a load to the dump and my daughter found him in a cardboard box. He acted like a dog and seemed to leave birds alone. I never fed him a thing. I think the coyotes must have gotten him finally.

My dogs like to play with cats, they stretch them out and play tug of war with them.

I like a good cat or two that hangs out at the farm, but I want em to run when they see me, and earn there keep. Have had some good ones over the years.

You just don't know how to pick a good cat. Take pinkie here for example.... He's probably still up for adoption. Lol
